The southern poplars that grow near Paula's Savannah home have a unique characteristic. As they draw water from their native wetlands, they also take in minerals from the soil. Forming alternating streaks of light and dark, the minerals run through the wood in broad lines during rainy years, and thinner ones in times of drought. Finished in a light Oatmeal tone, these mineral streaks come to the forefront. Presented in deep Molasses hue, they show through more softly. The result is a piece that is truly unique- just like Paula.

CONSTRUCTION: Select hardwoods with rustic poplar veneers. English dovetail drawer construction on storage pieces, as well as dust bottoms, wood on wood drawer guides, and stained, solid wood drawer sides.

FINISHES: All finishes are lightly distressed for an heirloom feel. Oatmeal and Molasses are a stained finish, while the Porch Swing and Screen Door finishes are painted finishes.
